1st Annual Dialog Dinner
Amity Turkish Cultural Center (ATCC) held its 1st Annual Dialog Dinner at Jacksonville Marriott Hotel on September 28, 2006. Rev. Gerald G. Alexander from The Church of the Good Shepherd , Rev. Dr. John L. Young from Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville , and Suleyman Eris from Istanbul Center for Culture and Dialogue Outreach Coordinator were the speakers of the dinner. They all gave a wonderful speech about “ Opening Doors, Building Bridges ”.
The dinner attracted approximately 110 special guests including people from churches, synagogues, mosques, educational institutions, media organizations, government agencies, and other community groups and religious organizations. People came together at one table, and they have proved that this is a situation of great richness, with remarkable opportunities for mutual understanding and for creating a society rooted in common values
